As you review the Official 2007 Application and over the course
of the next several days you will see a series of announcements
pertaining to the 2007 WCOFF. We thought we would provide
a brief summary of what you will find:
1.) RealTime Fantasy Sports was announced on May 15th as the
commissioner service for the 2007 and 2008 World Championship of
Fantasy Football
2.) The Overall Award for the 2007 WCOFF will be $300,000,
prizes for 2nd Overall etc. have been increased as well.
The top 15 will win awards.
3.) League Awards have been increased - $7,000, for 1st place
and $2.500 for 2nd place. 3rd place remains $500.
4.) Entry fees, inclusive of event fees have been raised
moderately to $1,750 (from $1,660).
5.) Week 12 will count in the Playoffs
6.) The ESPN Zone Party is optional at $75 per ticket.
7.) We will be utilizing the Lineup Optimizer from RealTime
Fantasy Sports for abandoned teams. It is a functionality
that will replace players on bye weeks for other players on
their roster - when possible for dormant teams.
8.) The FA bidding rules have been modified slightly for the
new software. Your highest bid is always your first
priority. If you bid $180 for Marques Colston and $155 for
Joe Horn - it will process the Colston bid first.
9.) We will be adding a High Stakes Draft League(s) ($5,000
per entry) and auction league(s) $1,250 per entry for those who
are interested.
10.) We have limited the participants to 1,200. It is
an ambitious target, but we will be investing in the promotion
of the event in an attempt to increase attendance. With
added attendance, we can look to raise awards further for 2008. |
